Mainz City History Museum

The Mainz Citadel invites you to visit. The entrance to the museum is located directly on the Drususstein (Roman monument).

The Mainz City History Museum is a private museum financed by membership fees, donations and entrance fees. It was founded in 2000 and has been located in Building D of the Mainz Citadel since July 2003, right next to the 2000-year-old Roman memorial, the Drususstein. The museum is supported by the Förderverein Stadthistorisches Museum Mainz e.V., which was founded in May 1996. Support the Mainz City History Museum with your membership!
