Magenza - 1,000 Years of Jewish Mainz

The exhibition illustrates the important and eventful history of the Jews of Mainz since the Middle Ages. It comprises periods of intellectual and cultural prosperity of a community steeped in tradition but also periods of persecution, expulsion and extermination such as the Holocaust in the 20th century.
